5 and 6 Step Programs

Are you looking for a lawn with great color and few weeds, without all the trips to the hardware store?  Then our 5-Step or 6-Step program is the perfect choice!

LawnAmerica’s 5-step and 6-Step programs represent the most common choice of programs among our customers.  These programs are designed to provide consistent treatments, spaced about 6 weeks apart during the growing season.

Fertilization applications are spaced out from April through mid-September using our own custom blended quality fertilizers. We adjust the rates of Nitrogen (N), Phosphorus (P), and Potassium (K) depending on the time of year and weather conditions, to keep your turf healthy and green.

With our 5-Step and 6-Step programs we also apply the best pre and post-emergent products in Early Spring (February – April) and again in the Fall (October – November). These two applications significantly reduce the amount of weeds that you will battle each year.

Even though we fertilize to keep the lawn thick and healthy; and even though we apply the pre and post-emergent applications at the best times; you will still have weeds that pop up during the course of the season. That is why every time we fertilize, we will spot spray any weeds that are present with a combination of different post-emergent products.
